Be aware that this is not a wave for begginers and requires a strong paddler who can amange steep take offs and some level of fitness as it can get heavy.

Nahoon beach and the corner is an excellent mix of beach break waves and corner can produce epic long rides when the swell and sand are in place.

Nahoon surf spots a great place to visit

If you or a member of the family enjoys surfing , then a visit to Nahoon is highly recommended. Nahoon has 3 distinct quality breaks that cater for all levels and styles of surfer. Starting with Nahoon Reef which is a powerful point break at the Southernmost end of Nahoon . Definitely a more advanced surfers spot , but a right hander that is challenging and a really special wave with a few personalities dependent on the conditions at the time. Great consistency year round but better in the winter months with SW winds and swell direction.

Just more north is the Nahoon corner parking lot which looks over a fun right hander and sometimes small lefts that break into the rip. Intermediate surfers can enjoy this wave that can break really long when the sand and conditions are suitable . Can be fickle , but get it on a good day and will be memorable.

The beach break further north at the river mouth consistently delivers a variety of waves year round and can generate absolute perfection when the sand and low wind conditions line up.

Crowds in all the Nahoon spots are seldom an issue , and East London surfers are very friendly , obviously as long as you behave in manner that retains the order in the water and remember the basic ethics of surfing.
